MEMBERSHIP

What We Provide
Chevy Chase At Home members have access to a wide variety of educational, social, and recreational services and programs.  Assistance provided by volunteers, such as transportation services, help with computers, or minor home repairs, is included in the Full Membership fee.  Full and Associate Members may request referrals for commercial and professional service providers who work on a fee-for-service basis and have been recommended by neighbors in the community.  Full and Associate Members may also request information about government agencies, local non-profits and other resources that offer professional assistance in dealing with difficult issues that seniors sometimes face.

One call to the central coordinator will arrange the volunteer service or provide the list of referrals that you need.

CC@ H also organizes regular social and educational events, including informal chats, lectures by noted professionals, outings to local museums, exercise and support groups.  Please visit our Calendar of Events to see the range of activities available.  Members receive regular mailings and e-mails about upcoming events.

Do you need transportation to medical appointments or someone to pick up groceries or prescriptions?  Would you like to join friendly get-togethers and hear speakers on topics that will hold your interest or entertain you?  See How You Can Join Us below for access to more information.

Full Members can also sign up for our new Storm Buddy System. If requested, CC@ H Volunteers are assigned and introduce themselves to Member households in their neighborhoods. The designated Volunteer will contact the Member household about urgent needs in the aftermath of a severe storm. The Volunteer may not have the capacity to respond personally, but will tap into CC@ H resources to try to work out a solution.   In addition, we have identified a number of useful publications that can help you be prepared to weather a storm emergency at home.  Please click here to link to our Resources for Seniors page where you will find these documents.
