Cancellation Policy:
Mary Kate Cary and Robert Schlesinger will host the CC@ H Current Events Round Table on November 10th, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Loews Madison Hotel, 1177 15th St. (near Thomas Circle). They will lead a discussion of the results of the midterm elections. This is a free event for Members and Friends of CC@ H but space is limited and registration is required. Refreshments will be served.
Ms. Cary is a former presidential speech writer and the producer of the recently released film,
41 on 41
, an enlightening look at the life of George H.W. Bush. She has been a contributing editor and columnists and continues to be a frequent contributor to news outlets, including U.S. News & World Report.
Mr. Schlesinger is managing editor for Opinion at US News & World Report. He is a liberal blogger and writes a biweekly column on politics for US News. He is also the author of the definitive history of White House speechwriting, entitled,
White House Ghosts: Presidents and their Speechwriters

*CC@ H has reserved a bus. The bus ride is free for full members; $10 for associate members, Friends of CC@ H and volunteers. Reserve your place now! Please bring $10 per person, in cash, to the bus stop (We leave from Chevy Chase Village Hall at 12:20 p.m).
