Have you ever wondered what that silver set you inherited or that vase you bought at a flea market is worth?  Join CC@ H on May 17th and bring your hidden treasures with you.  Expert appraisers from Sloans & Kenyon - specialists in decorative arts, paintings, books, silver, porcelain, jewelry, furniture, rugs, Americana, and more - will be on hand to help you solve these mysteries.

Each person registered will receive a verbal appraisal with interesting details of up to three items.  If you cannot bring an item itself, just bring a description and photograph of it.  It is estimated that each appraiser will spend about three to five minutes with each person who brings in three items.

Any item valued at $300 or more may be donated for auction by S&K, which has graciously offered to waive the seller’s fee and any costs of hauling items to the S&K auction house.  Should you wish to auction or consign an item at a later time as a result of the event, S&K will make a charitable contribution to CC@ H.

And while you're waiting, Stephanie Kenyon, President of Sloans & Kenyon Auctioneers and Appraisers, will address “What’s Hot, What’s Not:  An Auctioneer’s Eye View” beginning at 2 pm. Time will be included for questions from the audience.

Door prizes will be given throughout the event, including 2 opportunities to win 2 round-trip tickets on the Vamoose Bus to New York City. Refreshments include treats from Whole Foods Market, Friendship Heights

On-line registration is now closed.  Please bring check, cash (exact change) or credit card to register at the door - $45 per person.
