Curator Lee Glazer, who oversees the American art collection at the Smithsonian's Freer-Sackler, will explore the complicated, trans-Atlantic life of the "Peacock Room," the famous interior by James McNeill Whistler now in the collection of the Freer Gallery. The illustrated lecture is entitled "Heirloom of the Artist: Rethinking the Peacock Room" and will included Q & A with the audience.
