Jim Resnick, Program Manager.  Jim will inform us about new home safety regulations and what the county is prepared to do to work with you to ensure that your home is safe and up to code. Chief John Fitzgerald, will also speak on staying safe at home.

 

Also, learn about free, in-home inspections provided by fire and rescue experts with assistance from CC@ H volunteers.  This a free service open to all Montgomery County Seniors in Chevy Chase. Register by May 21 to receive a home safety assessment that includes inspection of smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors, instillation of devices as needed, personalized fire evacuation plans, and injury prevention strategies.To register, contact us at info@chevychaseathome.org or call 301-657-3115



ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:

 

Jim Resnick began his career as a geographer and eventually followed his passion as a volunteer firefighter to a professional career in emergency services, eventually becoming a Montgomery County Battalion Fire Chief.  After a brief retirement, he has returned to serve as Manager of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service Senior Outreach Program.

 

John Fitzgerald served many years on the Montgomery County police force before accepting the position of Chief, Chevy Chase Village Police.
