Despite advance directives, elderly patients, their families, and their caregivers often struggle with medical intervention decisions as the end of life approaches. Dr. Christina Prather, specialist in geriatrics and palliative care at George Washington University Hospital, will lead a discussion of the medical and ethical issues surrounding end-of-life care. A short documentary, "The Last Campaign of Governor Booth Gardner," will be shown as part of the program.
