Welcome to Residents of Rollingwood & Old Hamlet!

A little bit of history -

Chevy Chase is one of the first street car suburbs in the US. In the last decade of the 19th century, Francis Newlands formed the Chevy Chase Land Company to establish a planned community around the Rock Creek Railway that was to be built from Calvert Street in the District of Columbia to the B&O Railroad spur 1.8 miles north of the Maryland border.

While the area of Chevy Chase includes several neighborhoods in both the District of Columbia and Montgomery County, Maryland, the initial service area for Chevy Chase At home initially included the five sections in Maryland within and adjacent to the original community - Chevy Chase Village, Sections 3 and 5 of the Village of Chevy Chase, the Village of Martin's Additions, and the Town of Chevy Chase. These residential communities are home to approximately 2,500 families.

Chevy Chase At Home is now also including single family residences in Rollingwood, the Old Hamlet, and other unincorporated areas bounded by Wisconsin Avenue, East-West Highway, Beach Drive and Western Avenue.

The following links provide more information about these communities.
