We Are Neighbors Helping Neighbors Live At Home
Murray Horwitz, Tony Award winning playwright, lyricist, director and host of WAMU’s The Big Broadcast, will talk with CC@H members and guests about his prolific fifty-year show business career. He got his start as a clown with Ringling Brothers, worked as a performer and director in New York City and in 1976 co-authored the hit Broadway musical Ain’t Misbehavin,’ for which he won a Tony Award. Horwitz later moved to the Washington Area (he and his wife are residents of the Town of Chevy Chase), where he made his mark at NPR, won three Peabody Awards and was part of the team that created the news-based radio quiz show Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! Murray is known to be a terrific story-teller, so you won’t want to miss this entertaining evening.
