Studies show that a regular Pilates practice improves balance and muscle conditioning. This gentle class incorporates the six original Pilates principles: Concentration, control, center, flow, precision and breathing, with an emphasis on core strength.

Instructor Candace Robertson has taught this class for years at regional venues and developed a loyal following. Candy works with students individually and adapts the exercises as needed to address physical limitations.

The class will use resistance bands, light weights and floor mats. If you are unable to use the mat, you may use a chair. Resistance bands will be provided, but students are asked to bring your own foam mat and light weights (2-3 lb.).



Class Schedule
The twelve-week session begins on Monday, February 17th--Presidents' Day--and runs through Monday, May 11. There is no class on Monday, March 2.

Registration
Advance registration and payment are required. You may register and pay (1) by clicking the Register Now button on the upper right of this page, (2) by mailing in a check and completed Strength Training & Pilates Registration & Release to CC@H, P.O. Box 15102, Chevy Chase, MD 20825, (3) by printing and filling out the Strength Training & Pilates Registration & Release and bringing it with your check to the first class, or (4) by printing, completing, scanning, uploading and emailing your completed forms and either paying on the web site, or mailing in a check. 

NOTE: The registration form should read "MONDAYS".  We will correct this on Feb. 18th.

Drop-Ins: Drop-Ins are welcome, as space permits. The drop-in fee is $20 per class. If you plan to drop in for one or more classes, please call the office first to let us know and to pay in advance. Please note that the instructor does not accept payment.
