DC TAI CHI CLASSES AT CHEVY CHASE TOWN HALL

Join us for informative and enjoyable practice of Tai Chi (Taijiquan) and Qigong, traditional Chinese health and martial disciplines. These arts have evolved for hundreds of years, and since 2020 are included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Tai Chi and Qigong have been recognized for their efficacy in treating hypertension, stress, high blood pressure, and have been shown to improve balance, bone density, and mobility. Sharpening mental focus, increasing body awareness and cultivating a deep, calm strength are among the benefits of proper training.

Nick Gracenin, founder of DC Tai Chi, is an internationally recognized master instructor with 49 years of experience in the USA and China. He is a 13 x medalist and captain of US Chinese Martial Arts and Tai Chi Teams at World Championships. Prior to moving to Washington, DC, Nick taught at the UPMC Center for Integrative Medicine in Pittsburgh. He has taught for the National Gallery of Art, the Cosmos Club, Watergate, IDB, the American Psychological Association, the Washington National Cathedral, Equinox, and Chevy Chase at Home among many others.
