CC@H has booked a small group visit to the Hillwood Estate, Museum, and Gardens in NW DC, with an 11:15 a.m. entry time. The former residence of businesswoman, socialite, philanthropist and collector Marjorie Merriweather Post, Hillwood is known for its large decorative arts collection and its extensive gardens. Masking is currently required. During our visit there will also be a new exhibit of fashion and mementos from the legendary life of Princess Grace of Monaco you can see. There is free parking available on site, but if you need a ride we can arrange for carpools.<br /><br />While this is subject to docent availability, we are tentatively scheduled for a 11:30 a.m. tour of the mansion. Those interested may enjoy lunch on the outdoor terrace after the tour, and then you can explore the exhibit and the gardens at your leisure. If you need a ride, you must let us know by Thursday, June 16 at 12 p.m. This is open to members and volunteers, and limited to 20 people. Suggested donation is $15 per person, to be paid upon arrival.
