About this event
The CC@H Gardener/Naturalist Group is hosting a visit to the Tudor Place!
The estate grounds cover six acres, with a large variety of open spaces, nooks and crannies with formal and informal gardens and fountains, and tall trees and shrubs. Shrubs will probably be past their spring bloom, judging from Washington area azaleas and rhododendrons that are now spent.
However, it appears that there will be a variety of flowers in bloom at the estate garden next week. (See https://tudorplace.org/garden/whats-blooming/ ). There is no fee for those who plan to visit the gardens only. The entrance fee for seniors is $5.00, required only if a visitor wants to participate in a guided tour of the mansion originally built for Martha Washington and still in the hands of her descendants.
We agreed not to visit the mansion as a group but, since the cost of the guided tour is only $5.00, some of you may want to visit it on your own. You will need to make a reservation for one of the group tours of the mansion.
