We Are Neighbors Helping Neighbors Live At Home
Explore the joy of movement and music! This lively class combines group singing to Broadway show tunes and classic pop songs with easy movements that are inspired by a wide range of dance styles--all to piano accompaniment. No prior dance or singing experience necessary. Caregivers are invited to participate.+ Movement components are drawn from the Dance for PD® program and provide a fun way to increase coordination, flexibility and balance. The dance material, much of which is done seated, is adaptable. Vocal exercises and singing benefit articulation, breath support and memory. Robert Sacheli, a teaching artist in the Dance for PD program who trained at Mark Morris Dance Group, and musician-composer Roy Barber, who leads a Parkinson’s choir in Chevy Chase, teach the class. Class Schedule Class meets Wednesdays from 2:30 to 3:30 pm for nine (9) weeks--September 4 to October 30. Registration Advance registration is recommended. Box 15102, Chevy Chase, MD 20825, (3) printing, filling out and signing, scanning and emailing your forms to info@chevychaseathome.org, or (4) calling the office at (301) 657-3115. (You will need to turn in a completed Music & Movement Release before your first class.) Payment is due by the first day of the nine-week session. Session Fees & Payment Fees for the nine-week session-- •Members/Associates/Friends & Chevy Chase Village residents: $135 •General public: $153 •Caregivers+: No charge •Fee reductions are available for those with financial need.

If space is available, drop-ins are welcomed. If you would like to attend one or more classes, but do not wish to register for the entire session, please contact the CC@H office ahead of time to sign up and pay for one or more select classes.
