About this event
Financial scams targeting seniors have become so prevalent that they are now considered the crime of the 21st century. Scams often go unreported or can be difficult to prosecute, so they’re considered a low-risk crime with high financial rewards for scammers. Becoming knowledgeable about scams and tactics used by scammers can help you to reduce the odds of becoming a victim.
Join CC@H to learn about tell-tale signs of a scam, current scams to avoid and how to protect yourself from becoming a victim of a scam. There will be a Question and Answer session and handouts as part of the presentation.
Our speaker will be Jeannine Robinson-Hurley, MPS, who is the Education, Training and Outreach Coordinator in the Maryland Office of Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division.
Refreshments will be served. There is no charge for this event and you are encouraged to bring friends.
