Chevy Chase At Home believes in equality for people of all races, religions and ethnic backgrounds. Recently, we have witnessed the result of racism that exists in our country with the tragic deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor, among others. Our country is founded on the principles that justice, human rights, and equal treatment are to be applied to all people without consideration of the color of their skin, religion, ethnicity or background.
We believe racism and discrimination of any type impacts our society adversely from the delivery of healthcare, the application of justice, the approach to policing, to educational preparation and career opportunities. We support efforts to remediate any unfair and unjust treatment of people. America is thought of as a land of opportunity and we need to ensure that it is such for everyone living in this country.
Chevy Chase At Home is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization for seniors in the Chevy Chase area. The mission of Chevy Chase At Home is to keep us connected and active in our community with neighbors of all ages as we age in place.
