In 1953, working class twin brothers Tom and Frank Hoy hustled up copyboy jobs. They eventually became White House news photographers for two major DC papers--The Washington Post and The Evening Star. Their story is the story of American journalism when it mattered most.

Tom and Frank’s work was seen by hundreds of thousands of people daily. The Hoy Boys allows us to rediscover their iconic photographs, while providing a lens to view both the complexities of the past and the current media landscape.

Tickets: CC@H members, volunteers, and friends pay a discounted price of $10, cash at the event.

Directions to the Venue: Driving and transit directions to the Carnegie Institution for Science are posted on their website.

Parking: Parking is available at the lot at 1616 P St., NW. Reserve parking in advance here.
