Elder financial Abuse is considered one of the fastest growing crimes of this century. In this seminar, learn more about the impact of financial abuse, the importance of community education and strategies to protect you, your family and your finances.

 

Barbara C. Mulitz, Esq, MMsc, is an attorney working at Sandy Spring Trust where she currently serves as a Vice President and Senior Trust Officer.  She is licensed to practice law in both Maryland and Washington, DC.

 

She focuses her work on wealth management, asset transfer planning, retirement planning, elder financial abuse prevention, elder law, financial fundamentals, and families with special and unique needs.

 

Active in the community, Ms. Mulitz sits on the Greater Washington Community Foundation Montgomery County, Advisory Board; Johns Hopkins, A Woman’s Journey, Advisory Board; The ElderSafe, Advisory Board; and has completed two full terms as a Commissioner on the Montgomery County Commission on Aging.  Ms. Mulitz is an active advocate for elder financial abuse prevention and advocated for the successful passage of legislation in the Maryland General Assembly.
